Brown bin collections over the winter months

South Ayrshire Council is reminding Garden Waste Permit holders to book in their winter brown bin collections from Monday 17 November.

As part of our Garden Waste Permit scheme, we empty brown bins every four weeks between March and November, and by request from December to February.

Residents who have paid for a permit and would like their bin collected in December, January and February should book in their collections using our online portal or by calling 0300 123 0900. This service will open on Monday 17 November.

One booking covers all collections during the winter months, and normal scheduled collections will commence from Monday 2 March 2026.
