Asset Transfer under the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015

Notice of asset transfer request

An asset transfer request has been made to South Ayrshire Council under Part 5 of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015.

The request has been made by Kirkmichael Ayrshire Development Trust (SC053662) and relates to McCosh Hall and Bowling Green, 17-19 Patna Road, Kirkmichael, KA19 7PJ.

The request is to purchase the McCosh Hall, bowling green and surrounding land.

The proposed use is: a hub for community life, collaboration and opportunity providing space for the community-run shop and other local groups. The bowling green will continue to be used for bowls and operated by Kirkmichael Bowling Club.

Anyone may make representations about this request to South Ayrshire Council. Representations must be in writing, by e-mail or by online response as detailed below, and include the name and address of the person making it. A copy of the representation will be provided to the organisation making the CAT request, with an opportunity for them to make comment.

A redacted copy of any representations and comments received will be published online at https://www.south-ayrshire.gov.uk/community-asset-transfer. Please note that all representations and comments are reviewed by Council officers before they are published on the Council's web pages. This is to ensure that all comments made are neither offensive nor libellous and that their publication also complies with the Data Protection Act.

Representations must be made no later than 13th June 2025 at 4:00pm.
