P7 - S1 transfer arrangements

The P7-S1 transfer arrangements application process for August 2024 is now closed and will reopen in November 2024

Each year parents/carers of children currently attending Primary 7 are required to inform us which secondary school they would like their child to attend, in the following August. Your home address will determine which secondary schools are your designated catchment secondary schools, each address in South Ayrshire has one denominational and one non-denominational catchment secondary school.

Check the catchment school for your address.

Attend catchment

If you wish your child to attend their catchment secondary school, complete a P7 - S1 transfer arrangements form.

Not attend catchment

If you do not wish your child to attend their catchment secondary school you must do the following:

1.    Complete a P7 - S1 transfer arrangements form and

2.    Submit a school placing request application form for the secondary school you would like your child to attend. Parents/carers should be aware that once they have submitted a placing request application form they have no automatic right to a place at their catchment secondary school.
