Welcome

to South Ayrshire Library and Information Service, a public library system serving over 114,248 residents living in the area. The library service covers the towns of Ayr, Prestwick, Troon, Maybole and Girvan as well as rural communities. South Ayrshire operates fourteen branch libraries, a mobile library service and the main library for the district is Carnegie Library in Ayr.

PLEASE NOTE: PREVIOUS BOOK REQUESTS

Any requests or holds made online or in person prior to and including November/December 2008 will not be on our new library system and therefore need to be re-applied for.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.


Christmas and New Year Closure

All South Ayrshire Libraries will close at 12.30pm on Wednesday 24th December 2008 and re-open on Monday 5th January 2009.
