Troon Library is on the move!

NEWS UPDATED

South Ayrshire Council can confirm that the new Troon Library will open its doors to the public on Wednesday 4 June at 9:00am.

To facilitate the move, the current library will close at 5:00pm on Friday 23 May, with any activities and events usually held over this period being postponed.

The new Troon Library, which will be located on the ground floor of Troon Municipal buildings, will offer a fantastic range of services to customers, including access to a wide variety of digital and printed books, free public access PCs and free public Wi-Fi.

The library will continue to offer a vibrant programme of events, including author talks, reading groups, craft sessions, and engaging activities for children and families -making it a welcoming hub for learning, creativity, and connection.

South Ayrshire Council's Portfolio Holder for Tourism, Culture and Rural Affairs, Councillor Alec Clark, said: "The library is a valuable service to many within the Troon community, and I'm delighted that a date is now in place for the official move.

"The new location within the Troon Municipal Buildings will provide customers with a modern, state-of-the-art facility, which is accessible to all. Everyone involved in the relocation has been working tirelessly to ensure that the standard of service provision is maintained and I'm excited to see what the new library has in store."
