Second Phase of Survey Now Live - Community Council Scheme of Establishment
Published 9 September 2025
South Ayrshire Council is continuing to carry out a review of the current Scheme of Establishment for Community Councils, and Guidance for Community Councils.
Community Councils play an important role in local democracy by representing their communities where it matters most and helping to influence decisions.
Following the first phase of our consultation earlier this year, responses and feedback have been reviewed and collated.
The second phase of the consultation is now seeking feedback on the proposed amendments to the Scheme and governance documents.
We're looking to hear from local residents; Community Councils; Community groups and organisations; or anyone who may be impacted directly or indirectly by any proposed changes.
You can take part online or via a paper copy, and more details can be found here.
The closing date is Sunday 2 November. Findings from both consultations will be taken to Council in December to allow Councillors to consider recommendations on any proposed changes.
