New Windsocks Installed in Girvan

Have you ever heard of windsocks? Windsocks offer crucial wind direction information for safety and operational purposes, and we've recently installed these at Girvan beach.

Our Grounds Maintenance team worked in partnership with the RNLI to identify suitable locations and install the windsocks.

The windsocks are part of our Ward Capital Projects programme, where improvements are being made to each ward in South Ayrshire.

Windsocks have already been installed at Barassie, Troon, Maidens and Lendlefoot and we're now looking at options for Prestwick and Ayr too.
