Financial Inclusion Fund July 2025

South Ayrshire Council is inviting community organisations, charities, voluntary groups and social enterprises based in South Ayrshire to apply to the Financial Inclusion Fund.

Groups can apply for funding of up to £4,950, with no minimum limit. Examples of what may be funded include:

  • Setting up or expanding a community food larder
  • Purchasing items for emergency food parcels
  • Providing fuel vouchers for families in need

To be eligible, projects must work towards at least one of the following outcomes:

  • Breaking the cycle of debt and dependency
  • Reducing child poverty
  • Preventing crisis through early intervention
  • Helping people move into employment, training, education, or volunteering.

Councillor Chris Cullen, South Ayrshire Council's Portfolio Holder for Economic Development said: "I'm incredibly proud of our commitment to the Financial Inclusion Fund and the real difference it can make in people's lives. This is about so much more than funding — it's about empowering local groups who are on the frontline, helping residents navigate the ongoing cost-of-living crisis and lifting people out of poverty.

"We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live with dignity, security, and hope. By supporting these vital projects, we're investing directly in the wellbeing of our communities and helping to create a fairer, more inclusive society for all."

The closing date for applications is Thursday 31 July at 5pm. For more information or to apply, visit https://sac.communitychoices.scot/
