Provost Raises Flag for Commonwealth Day

South Ayrshire Provost Iain Campbell raised the Commonwealth flag outside of County Buildings in Ayr this morning to mark Commonwealth Day 2026.

Provost Campbell opened the ceremony with a speech before Lord Lieutenant Iona McDonald read the Commonwealth message from His Majesty King Charles III and Councillor Brian Connolly, Leader of South Ayrshire Council read the Commonwealth Affirmation.
