Have Your Say on the Future of Belleisle Golf Course
South Ayrshire Council is delighted to announce the next stage of public engagement on the future of Belleisle Golf Course.
Following valuable feedback from the first engagement last year, our Sport, Leisure & Golf Service have been working closely with Pangaea Golf Architecture (in association with Paul Lawrie) and Alliance Leisure to refine and update the proposals for the course.
Belleisle Golf Course, a James Braid classic since 1927, holds a special place in golfing history. The updated concepts aim to respect and enhance Braid's original vision while introducing sustainable, future-focused improvements that will benefit players and the wider community.
Three exciting options have been developed for the course's future, shaped by customer input and designed to deliver a high-quality golfing experience for generations to come.
We're now looking for feedback on the new designs, and they will be available to view and comment on from Wednesday 5 November at http://www.belleisle-park-development.co.uk
Designs will also be available to view in person anytime at Belleisle Park Clubhouse from Wednesday 5 November until Thursday 4 December.
Councillor Chris Cullen, South Ayrshire Council's Policy Lead for Leisure and Community Services said: "We're committed to protecting, enhancing, and growing golf in South Ayrshire. The new design options explore how to create a modern, inclusive, and sustainable facility for generations to come.
"I encourage everyone with an interest in golf and Belleisle, to view the fantastic plans for Belleisle and share your feedback, whether positive or negative, as part of the consultation. It's vital we hear a balanced range of opinions. Belleisle is a community asset, and by upgrading the facilities, we are reinforcing South Ayrshire as a leading destination for golf and leisure tourism."
