Communities Fun Day 2026 Brings South Ayrshire Together

Our annual award-winning Communities Fun Day took place on Saturday 16^th May 2026 bringing together thousands of people from across South Ayrshire for an exciting day of free family-friendly activities, entertainment, and community engagement. Visitors enjoyed an impressive range of attractions throughout the day, with feedback highlighting just how much there was to experience — many attendees even found it difficult to choose a favourite activity!

The Information Zone remained a central feature of the event, providing a valuable space for attendees to connect with a wide range of Council services, partner organisations, and charities. Visitors were able to access helpful advice and learn more about support services available across South Ayrshire.

Building on the success of previous years, the 2026 event introduced even more attractions, including:

An expanded selection of funfair rides for all ages
The ever-popular Pro2 Wrestling Show
A unique Alpaca Meet & Greet experience
A brand-new Food Zone, offering a wide variety of options from local traders

These additions were shaped by feedback from attendees in 2025, ensuring the event continues to grow and reflect community interests.

Visitors stepped back in time with mini train rides and a motion simulator celebrating the history of Ayr Beach, combining nostalgia with added excitement for all ages.

Feedback from attendees was extremely positive with 97% rating the event overall as excellent/very good and consistently highlighted the range and quality of free activities, with attendees noting that the event successfully catered for diverse interests and age groups with strong appreciation for the event being free and inclusive to all.
