Changing Arrangements & Refurbishment FAQs
Learn to Swim/Dive - Changing Arrangements & Refurbishment FAQs
Why are there temporary changes in place?
From 15th June, our changing village will be unavailable while essential refurbishment works are carried out. These improvements will create a better experience for all customers and are expected to last approximately 7 months. These arrangements allow lessons to continue safely during this period.
What does "swim ready" mean?
All participants should arrive wearing their swimwear under loose fitting clothes for ease of changing. Changing rooms will not be available before or after lessons during this period.
How will children access the pool?
A one-way system will be in place for entering and exiting the pool area, with staff on hand to help.
What happens after lessons?
Please bring a towel and a dry robe, onesie, or oversized t-shirt. Children will dry off, put on warm clothing over swimwear.
Why is full changing unavailable?
Due the number of participants, it is not possible to safely provide alternative changing or allow the volume of parents required to support on poolside.
What about Early Years classes (Under 4s)?
Younger children often need additional support with changing. These sessions take place at quieter times with fewer participants, and with a parent in the water, we will be allowing limited poolside changing for these classes within poolside temporary cubicles and dry changing facilities.
Helpful tips for quick changing
· Dress children in loose, easy-to-remove clothing
· Arrive swim ready where possible
· Bring a dry robe, poncho towel, or onesie
· Keep belongings in one simple bag
