Council Launches Updated Community Engagement Strategy

South Ayrshire Council has launched its updated Community Engagement Strategy, which reflects the priority of Civic and Community Pride within the Council Plan 2023-28.

The strategy outlines key commitments, including:

· Providing an overview of our approach to effective community engagement

· Identifying ways in which to inform, consult, collaborate and empower communities

· Providing a practical toolkit for those involved in community engagement

South Ayrshire Council's Policy Lead for Leisure and Community Services, Councillor Chris Cullen, said: "I'm delighted that we have launched our updated Community Engagement Strategy. Our communities are at the heart of South Ayrshire and it's therefore crucial that they have the ability to share their views on service provision to meet their needs, whilst also having the opportunity to make decisions that best reflect the area. This strategy will help to ensure that communities have their voices heard."
