Remembering our loved ones at Christmas
Remembering our loved ones at Christmas
South Ayrshire Council will hold its annual Christmas Candlelight Service at Masonhill Crematorium on Sunday 14 December at 3:30pm.
The festive season can be especially difficult for those who have lost someone close. This uplifting service is intended to offer a moment of comfort and reflection for anyone facing Christmas without a loved one.
The service will feature songs, traditional Christmas carols, readings, and prayers. Led by Reverand John McCutcheon and Celebrant Drew Brady, it will conclude with an opportunity to gather with others over hot, spiced non-alcoholic punch and mince pies.
Councillor Bob Shields, Policy Lead for Planning and Regulatory Services at South Ayrshire Council, said: "Anyone experiencing the absence of a loved one can find the festive season particularly challenging. This service is open to everyone and offers a space to reflect, remember and feel supported. Whether you attend alone or with others, you will be warmly welcomed."
