Have your say - Girvan Conservation Area Management Plan
As part of the Girvan's Story Regeneration Project, South Ayrshire Council is looking for public views on the Girvan Conservation Area Management Plan.
Following the Girvan Conservation Area Appraisal, which was approved in June 2024, the Council has now produced a draft Conservation Area Management Plan.
In support of the Girvan's Story Regeneration Project, the Management Plan identifies key physical challenges and opportunities for the town centre and conservation area and includes a Management Strategy and a Maintenance Plan, which outlines ways in which the area can be enhanced and how to support property owners to maintain and restore properties. Additionally, the Management Plan identifies priority heritage buildings suitable for improvement works.
The Council is now seeking views from the community on the draft Conservation Area Management Plan (CAMP) in the form of an online consultation. The feedback gathered will ensure that that the Plan accurately reflects the priorities and strategies which are essential to maintain the heritage and appearance of Girvan Town Centre and its conservation area.
The Management Plan and consultation can be accessed at https://www.south-ayrshire.gov.uk/article/81375/Draft-Girvan-Conservation-Area-Management-Plan.
The closing date for the consultation is Tuesday 30 September.
