Ballantrae Coastal Adaptation Project and Green Health Event
South Ayrshire Council in collaboration with Ayrshire Roads Alliance (ARA), Atkins Realis and the Galloway and Southern Ayrshire Biosphere Partnership will be hosting an event on Thursday 11 September 2025, in Ballantrae Community Hall which will focus on coastal change and green health.
The Ballantrae Coastal Adaptation Project and Green Health Event will run from 2.30pm to 7.30pm and aims to work with the community to create a sustainable plan for the coast. This will include identifying the impacts that future sea level rise and climate change may have and how this can be managed effectively.
Both locals and visitors are encouraged to drop-in to the workshop to view the project outputs and discuss future coastal adaptation planning.
This event is the perfect opportunity to learn more about how rising sea levels will affect the west coast of Scotland, and in particular, Ballantrae, over the coming decades. There will also be activities available for all ages to get involved in.
