Ayr Golf Festival 2025 Winners Announced!

The winners of this year's Ayr Golf Festival have been announced, following a week of gruelling competition.

More than 500 entries from across the UK took part in the prestigious competition at Belleisle and Seafield Golf Courses from Wednesday 4 until Sunday 8 June.

Nine competitions were held across the week, including the showcase Tam o' Shanter and Handyside Tournament where participants battled it out for a fantastic prize fund of £5,000. Long standing favourites, including the Stableford Competition, the Open Mixed Foursomes, Ladies Tri-am, and the Ladies Open Greensomes also made a return during this exciting tournament.

This year's winners were:

·       Tam o' Shanter Trophy: Aiden Long of Ayr Belleisle Golf Club (274)

·       Handyside Cup: Liam James of Lee Park (279)

·       Robert Burns Trophy: Mark Gandy of Helensburgh Golf Club (286)

·       David Gemmell Trophy: Drew Cleaver of Ayr Belleisle Golf Club (68)

·       Stableford Competition: Craig Barton of Deer Park (36)

·       Open Mixed Foursomes: Andrew Dickson of Golf South Ayrshire Golf Club and Karen Andrews of Ayr Seafield Ladies (65)

·       Ladies Tri-am: Anne McGillivray, Lesley Mackay and Linda Thompson of Prestwick St Nicholas Golf Club (59)

·       Ladies Open Greensomes: Gillian McClure & Helen Slane of Ayr Belleisle Ladies Golf Club (66)

·       Gents Seniors Winner: Colin Murdoch of Kirkintilloch Golf Club (62)

·       Ladies Seniors Winner: Jane Belford of Prestwick St Nicholas Golf Club (75)

·       Junior Open Boys and Girls: Orla Moran of Irvine Golf Club (73) & Raiden Yong of Hamilton Golf Club (63)

Leader of South Ayrshire Council, Councillor Brian Connolly, said: "This tournament has been a celebration of skill, resilience and sheer determination and has reminded us all why this game is a tribute to the deep-rooted history of golf in South Ayrshire."
