Last chance to have your say - Scheme of Establishment for Community Councils

South Ayrshire Council is carrying out a review of the current Scheme of Establishment for Community Councils, and Guidance for Community Councils.

Community Councils play an important role in local democracy by representing their communities where it matters most and helping to influence decisions.

We're looking to hear from local residents; Community Councils; Community groups and organisations; or anyone who may be impacted directly or indirectly by any proposed changes.

The first phase of the review is now available on our website here Your Area Your Voice Your Choice or alternatively, paper copies will be available in all of our libraries.

The closing date is Friday 16th May.

A further review will be carried out later this year, and the findings from both will be taken to Council in December to allow Councillors to consider recommendations on any proposed changes.
