Cardiac Rehabilitation
What is Cardiac Rehabilitation?
An exercise class designed for the rehabilitation of people who have experienced cardiac events and subsequent treatment. Lead by our Cardiac trained instructor, we aim to improve your health and wellbeing in a safe and structured environment over a 12 week programme.
How do I become involved in Cardiac Rehabilitation?
Cardiac Rehabilitation is aimed at individuals who have recently completed NHS provided rehabilitation and are looking to continue rehabilitation within a community setting. You can also be referred to attend Cardiac Rehabilitation if you have cardiac history, low fitness levels and are looking to slowly build up your confidence in a fitness environment. You can be referred to Cardiac Rehabilitation by a health professional e.g. GP, practice nurse, cardiac physiotherapist, etc. Or by completing the Self Referral form below:
Once your referral form is received by the Active Living Team one of our staff members will call you to arrange an appointment for you to come and have an assessment prior to joining the class.
What is the cost?
All classes are included within our health membership which costs £21 per month. This gives access to:
- Unlimited health classes (HARP, Encore Broadway Boogie, Keep Fit Low, Invigor8 etc)
- Unlimited Evolve classes
- Unlimited Gym and Swim
