Supporting you to claim Universal Credit and deal with your online journal
When you make a new claim for financial assistance from the Department of Works and Pensions you will now claim this. Some changes in circumstances will also mean you may have to claim Universal Credit.
Contact the Information and Advice Hub if:
- you are not sure what financial help you are entitled to, we will provide a benefit check.
- help to apply for Universal Credit online*
- you are still struggling to understand your eligibility for Universal Credit.
- you have been sanctioned and need advice on what you can do we may be able to assist.
- you are struggling to manage financially during the sanction period, hardship payments may be available and we can talk you through how to apply. In addition, we can provide details on how to access other sources of assistance including food, home energy and claiming for a crisis grant from the Scottish Welfare Fund.
* We can support you to apply and update your claim up until your first payment, we can then refer you for further support with digital access and digital skills with one of our partner agencies.
