New "Jonet" sculpture outside Cutty Sark Centre

A wire sculpture by local artist Vanessa Lawrence has been installed outside the Cutty Sark Centre on Ayr High Street in remembrance of those accused of witchcraft in South Ayrshire during the Scottish Witch Trials.

The sculpture - "Jonet" - depicts a woman looking across the River Ayr towards the Auld Brig - which would have been a familiar sight to a local woman during the era of the Scottish Witch Trials.
