Provost and Depute celebrate South Ayrshire's Young Musicians
South Ayrshire Provost Iain Campbell and Depute Provost Mary Kilpatrick attended the South Ayrshire Young Musicians Final on Tuesday 26 March at Ayr Town Hall.
All secondary schools in South Ayrshire held their own competitions to select their representatives (Junior and Senior) in preparation for the event. The Senior winner, Maria Ludkin- Finnie, will go forward to represent South Ayrshire at the national final at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in May.
The competition was organised by South Ayrshire Council's Instrumental Music Service with support from Scottish Young Musicians.

Senior winner: Maria Ludkin- Finnie, Belmont Academy (clarinet)
Senior runners up: Rosie Wallbanks, Prestwick Academy (violin) and Lucy Adamson Marr College (Tenor horn)
Junior winner: Daniel Cheung, Prestwick Academy (piano)
Junior runners up: Lucy Assur, Kyle Academy (violin) and Indii McCulloch, Marr College (voice)
