Councillor Martin Kilbride, Buildings, Housing and Environment Portfolio Holder for South Ayrshire Council said: "It's fantastic that works are underway at this exciting development. Another 75 affordable homes is great news for Ayr and underlines our commitment to build energy efficient and affordable properties which meet the needs of tenants.
"The development will be carried out over five phases. We're still exploring options for the last remaining tower block, but the plan was always to push on with these much-needed homes in the meantime."
