Air Show Festival Village Sunday

Air show festival continues on Sunday with beach sports, water activities and more!

Excitement is building as we get ready for The International Ayr Show - Festival of Flight this weekend.  The festival begins at 4:00pm on Friday 8 September, when our festival village officially opens.

The festival is set to be a spectacular event which no one will want to come to an end.  So, we've made sure you can make a whole weekend of it, by extending the entertainment and activities right through until 5:00pm on Sunday 10 September.

Join us on the Low Green and Ayr beach from 12:00noon on Sunday for some fantastic activities and sports both in and out of the water.

Make a splash with our water games, coasteering and coastal edging. Or take part in our beach assault course and pop-up beach sports.

Meander around the festival village and visit the great range of stalls, classic car exhibition, extreme sports display and the tasty food and drink pop-ups.  Get up to speed with all things STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) at our dedicated marquee - The Sky Way.  Or get hands-on at our interactive creative zone.

There will be loads to keep the whole family entertained on Sunday 10 September.

What better way to round off your festival weekend?

Remember, parking is half price on Sunday 10th, so you can park up for the whole day for just £5.  So why not book in advance now at

South Ayrshire Council's Director of Strategic Change and Communities, Jane Bradley, said: "We can't wait to welcome everyone to Ayr for the air show festival this weekend.  The fun won't end when the planes stop flying on Saturday - we've got even more great activities and entertainment planned for Sunday 10 September. So, make sure you stick around in Ayr to make the most the free attractions."

The International Ayr Show - Festival of Flight will be at Ayr shore front from Friday 8 September - Sunday 10 September 2023.
