International Workers' Memorial Day 28 April - tree planting at Rozelle

South Ayrshire Council will mark International Workers' Memorial Day on 28 April by planting a tree at Rozelle House in Ayr.
The public are welcome to attend the event which takes place at 9:55am on Friday 28 April. Attendees are asked to meet at Rozelle House.
International Workers' Memorial Day commemorates all workers who have lost their lives to workplace illness or injury.
This global initiative is also an opportunity to promote health and safety and minimise workplace incidents, most of which are preventable.
Provost of South Ayrshire, Iain Campbell who will take part in a short ceremony on the day said: "Many of us have either experienced a work-related accident or know someone who has.
"This commemoration is a chance to remember all those who have gone to work and not returned.
"Whether you have experienced a workplace illness or bereavement, or even if you just want to pay your respects, you are welcome to attend."
