South Ayrshire Provost attends Marr College Young Musician and Young Singer of the Year competition

Provost Iain Campbell attended the Young Musician and Young Singer of the Year competition at Marr College on Thursday 2 March.

More than 20 young people from the school took part in the competition, and the display of talent on the night was outstanding.

Provost Campbell is pictured with S5 pupil Lucy Adamson who was awarded Young Musician of the Year, and S6 pupil Beth MacNair. Beth is one of Marr College's school captains and she was awarded the Young Singer of the Year title. Also pictured alongside these talented young people are Depute Provost Mary Kilpatrick and Councillor Stephen Ferry, Education Portfolio Holder for South Ayrshire Council.

Lucy Adamson was chosen as the overall winner and will go on to represent Marr College in the South Ayrshire Regional event on Thursday 20 April in the Council Chambers, Ayr Town Hall.
