Employer Engagement

The Employer Engagement Team provide support to local businesses including:

  • Matching clients, engaging with Thriving Communities, to suitable and sustainable local jobs
  • Providing aftercare support to clients (and where appropriate employers) when they secure employment to ensure they continue to thrive within their role
  • Create a range of learning and work experience opportunities
  • In partnership with SAC Procurement and Economic Development, support local employers to fulfil their Community Benefit Pledges and to create further opportunities for South Ayrshire residents.
  • Organising and attending careers fairs and networking events.

Employer Recruitment Incentive

Thriving Communities may be able to offer employers an incentive for taking on an individual through a permanent contract of employment for 12months up to £3,000 (subject to funding).

Employer Recruitment Incentives play an important role in supporting individuals that have barriers to employment, this enables them to obtain and remain in sustainable employment. 

The Grantee will be expected to give consideration to the Fair Work Framework - employers are asked to commit to the following Fair Work First criteria in a way that is relevant and proportionate for the organisation.
