Thriving Communities Employer Engagement Team offer support to local employers who are recruiting, by matching clients on our all-age employability pipeline who have the relevant skills and experience to the vacancies. Our Employer Engagement Team will provide aftercare support to clients who have been successful in gaining employment to ensure they continue to thrive within their role and sustain their employment. Continued support is also offered to our business as part of our aftercare offer
The Employer Engagement will work in partnership with Procurement and Economic development to support local employers to fulfil their Community Benefit Pledges and to create further opportunities for South Ayrshire residents. We work in partnership with local employers and partner agencies to create learning and work experience opportunities to support clients furthest away from the labour market to develop their skills and sustain employment.
The Local Employability Partnership is a collective of partner agencies Skills Development Scotland, Voluntary Action South Ayrshire, Department of Working Pensions, Developing Young Work Force, Ayrshire College, South Ayrshire Council to provide a more aligned approach to national and local employability support. Overall to reduce inequality and close the gap across South Ayrshire.
Reducing inequality and closing the gap is core to the LEPs vision, while ensuring we create a fair, inclusive, suitable economy through employability and volunteering by creating opportunities across South Ayrshire.
The LEP will build on the strengths of the existing national and local services, better align funding, and improve the integration of employability services or other supports to ensure that services are designed and delivered around the needs and aspirations of those accessing our services at a local level.
The partnership will work with stakeholders and service users to commission employability support on an informed, evidence-based approach, flexing these to meet service users needs and emerging labour market demands. Sector Based Work Academy training programmes can be commissioned to meet the needs of employers to enable South Ayrshire residents to achieve accredited training, employability skills and work placement with the hope of achieving long term employment.
