Council staff choose new employee charity partner
South Ayrshire Council staff have chosen Beautiful Inside & Out as their new Employee Charity Partner.
Council staff vote each year to decide which local charity they would like to support. This time, Beautiful Inside & Out was our employees' top pick after receiving the highest number of votes.
Beautiful Inside & Out provide face to face support for bereaved parents and siblings of suicide victims, as well as those who are struggling for any reason. The charity promotes feelings of self-worth and offer a Facebook support group and connect with those who have been bereaved by suicide.
The partnership, which will run for the next 12 months, will begin on Thursday 1 December 2022.
Beautiful Inside & Out founder, Pauline Moriarty said: "All those who work with, or require support from Beautiful Inside & Out (Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation), are extremely grateful to South Ayrshire Council staff for voting for and recognising the work of the charity.
"Through raising awareness and funds, South Ayrshire Council shall enable Beautiful Inside & Out (SCIO) to improve and save more lives with counselling, music therapy, play therapy and drama/art therapy. All of our services are funded by Beautiful Inside & Out (SCIO) so that there is no barrier to anyone receiving support."
South Ayrshire Council's Chief Executive, Eileen Howat said: "I'm delighted to welcome Beautiful Inside & Out as our new Employee Charity Partner.
"The charity provides much needed support to families who are affected by suicide, and it'll be a pleasure to help raise awareness of such an important cause."
