Young carers survey
Thriving Communities and Health and Social Care Partnership have created a Young Carer survey for young people aged between 12 and 18 years who live within South Ayrshire and have caring responsibilities.
A young carer is anyone aged 18 and under who cares unpaid for a family member or friend due to illness, disability, a mental health issue, an addiction, elderly or to help them communicate.
Many young people are unaware that they are young carers and what support is available to assist their role. Therefore we want to hear from you on how we can help young carers access a range of entitlements/discounts/benefits, raise awareness of the role and support you to easily identify yourself as a carer to a range of businesses and services within South Ayrshire.
The personal information you give us within the survey will be anonymised and shared to various services to help make improvements
The survey is open from the 4th of July until the 22nd of July
To complete please click here Young Carers Survey
Focus groups gathering young people's views are also taking place within a range of groups, if you wish for more information on support for a young carer please email carers@south-ayrshire.gov.uk
Further details/feedback of the survey will be added to this page in the near future and updates will be posted via social media.
