Activity for Health
A programme for people who are living with health conditions that could be improved through regular physical activity/exercise, such as obesity, hypertension (high blood pressure), musculo or skeletal disorders (e.g. arthritis, osteoporosis, back pain), heart or lung conditions, stroke or TIA (must be ambulant), cancer, diabetes, anxiety/depression/stress/low self-esteem or living a sedentary/ inactive life. Participants will receive a consultation to discuss suitable activities or classes to participate in and will then be provided with a discounted membership with exercise advice and support provided for the length of their membership. Participants can self-refer or be referred to Activity for Health by a health professional. Refer to the website for a full timetable of classes.
