Doonfoot Primary School - Refurbishment & Extension
The accommodation and facilities at Doonfoot Primary are being extended and enhanced on a phased basis to accommodate an increase in the school roll as a result of the new housing development at Greenan. The first phase of works was completed a number of years ago and saw the infant area extended to create 3 additional classrooms. The IFE wing has been converted to create a modern early year's centre with enhanced provision. The school hall has been extended to ensure that there is sufficient PE space for a larger number of children. The project also includes enhancing the dining space and improving the management and medical space, toilets and changing facilities, a new hall entrance and additional PE storage.
Future works include a further classroom extension, upgrade of additional support needs bases, upgrade of the lower school areas, entrance extension and improved car parking.
