Tenant led assessments

Our involved tenants have the opportunity to become part of our Scrutiny and Performance Review Groups. We have two groups which are the Scrutiny and Performance Housing Options and Support Group and the Scrutiny and Performance Maintenance Group. Each group has a remit for reviewing performance data across various areas of service as detailed below:

Scrutiny and Performance Housing Options and Support Group - Housing Options, Applying for Housing, Homelessness Service and Temporary Accommodation.

Scrutiny and Performance Maintenance Group - Modernisation, Repairs, Settling In, Neighbour Disputes and Adaptations

One of the opportunities given to the groups is to undertake Tenant Led Assessments these assessments highlight where areas of improvement are required or where good practice can be identified and shared. In 2018 our Scrutiny and Performance Maintenance Group started the very first Tenant Led Assessment in South Ayrshire.

Tenant Led Assessment - Housing Services Letting Standard

The focus of the first Tenant Led Assessment was our Housing Services Letting Standard which was carried out by members of our Scrutiny and Performance Maintenance Group. This has been an extensive piece of work for the group which has resulted in them producing their first ever report which you can view - Tenant Led Assessment SAC Letting Standard Report 2019 (PDF, 719 KB)

The group have now completed a follow up assessment and have produced a final report on the project which you can view - SAC Tenant Led Assessment Final Report 2025 (attached) (PDF, 1 MB)
