Ayr Golf Festival 2026 Winners Announced
The winners of this year's Ayr Golf Festival have now been announced, following a week of intense competition.
Golfers from across the UK took part in the prestigious competition at Belleisle and Seafield Golf Courses from Wednesday 3 until Sunday 7 June.
Twelve competitions were held across the week, including the Ayr Golf Championship, where players competed for the coveted Tam o' Shanter and Handyside Trophies. This year's Championship reverted to the favoured qualifying and match-play knockout format which saw local golfer Jamie Hay of Ayr Belleisle Golf Club emerging as the winner.
Long standing favourites, including the Mixed Foursomes, Ladies Tri-Am, and the Ladies Greensomes made a welcome return, while the introduction of the Seniors Stableford Open and the 3 Person Texas Scramble were well received by participants and likely to return next year.
A special mention to the 54 Junior Boys and Girls who participated in the Junior Open over Belleisle Golf Course in challenging conditions. Excellent golf was on display throughout the tournament, with Thomas Watson of Old Ranfurly Golf Club winning the Scratch Competition and Lyle Beagrie of Ayr Belleisle Golf Club and Alyssa Gillies of Ballochmyle Golf Club winning the Handicap competitions.
