Thank you from South Ayrshire Council - The International Ayr Show - Festival of Flight 2025

AIRSHOW 25

The International Ayr Show - Festival of Flight 2025 took place on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 September and saw huge crowds flock to Ayr's Low Green to enjoy two days of dazzling aerial displays and a fantastic range of activities and entertainment.

Festival goers watched hours of iconic aircraft displays, from much loved display teams including The Red Arrows, RAF Typhoon, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) and The RAF Falcons to name a few.

The 2025 event also included some remarkable international displays including those from the Royal Canadian Airforce CC130J Hercules, the United States Air Force C130J Super Hercules, and the Douglas A-26 Invader.

The French Aerobatic Team, known as the Équipe de Voltige de l'Armée de l'Air (EVAA), also made their first ever appearance at the 2025 airshow and wowed the crowds with their breathtaking performances.

In addition to the fabulous aircraft displays, people enjoyed a range of entertainment within the Festival Village including the thrilling funfair, family fun zone, classic car exhibition, aircraft simulator and much more.

South Ayrshire Council's Director of Communities and Transformation, Jane Bradley, said: "I'd like to extend my thanks to everyone who was involved in the organising, planning and delivery of the 2025 festival. Each airshow is almost a year in the making and so much planning and hard work goes on behind the scenes to make the event a fantastic experience for everyone who comes along.

"I'd also like to thank everyone who attended the festival. The turnout at Ayr shorefront over the weekend was incredible and it was wonderful to see so many people come to Ayr to support the airshow, local businesses and traders. The weather even held out for us once again - so we really couldn't have asked for more!"
