A cancer diagnosis can be a difficult and stressful time for the patient, family and friends.

The impacts of cancer can be financial and we are here to help, working in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support and can support you in a range of ways including:

  • Specialist welfare benefit advice, whether you have received a diagnosis of Cancer or are supporting someone who has
  • Help to claim the benefits you are entitled to
  • Help to appeal benefit decisions including written tribunal representation
  • Applying for MacMillan grants on your behalf
  • Money advice from budgeting to debt management
  • Referrals to partner agencies for a wide range of services

A MacMillan grant application is a one-off payment to help cover the additional costs that cancer can cause including living expenses, gas & electricity, household items and travel costs. You can't apply for this yourself but one of our advisors can do it for you.

If you or anyone you know is affected by cancer and could benefit from this help get in touch or speak to your MacMillan nurse who can refer you to us.

Visit the MacMillan Cancer Support website to find out more about their services.
