South Ayrshire Council offers a new ONE-STOP Property Enquiry Service, specially
tailored to the needs of local solicitors and agents.
We have details on every property in South Ayrshire and our team of experienced
officers can assist you with:
- Planning
- Building Control
- Environmental Health
- Housing
- Roads
- Water and Sewage
- Contaminated Land
in relation to the property or properties with which you are dealing.

We guarantee our reports to be of the highest quality.
South Ayrshire Council has the largest property portfolio in the area.
Our extensive records are up to date and are interpreted properly by highly experienced
staff who understand your needs.
Competitive Costings
We understand the need for competitive costings in today's property market and our
prices are geared to reflect that need. (no additional VAT is payable on our prices).
Our basic report structure is as follows:
- Local Authority Property Enquiry (Planning, Environmental
Health, Housing, Building Control and Roads) - £76.00
- Water and Sewerage Property Enquiry - £27.00
- Full Property Enquiry (includes both local and authority and water and sewerage
services) - £100.00

We can also offer other services such as:
Letters of Comfort Searches - £162.00

The principal report will also be sent to you by post the same day.
Most enquiries can be answered within 7 - 10 working days and we have streamlined
our procedures with new pro-formas and certificates to speed the process, whilst
retaining reliability.
How to Apply
Payment Methods
Cheque: Enclose a cheque for the appropriate amount with the application.
Invoice: If more convenient an invoice can be issued.
Account: Why not open an account with the Property Enquiry Service and arrange to
settle on a monthly basis.
Cash: In person at
