The Information and Advice Centre is specifically for those aged 55 and over in South Ayrshire.
What assistance/support is available to help me use the computer? Form filling/internet assistance is available for those aged 55-plus.
What assistance/support is available to help me complete my Universal Credit application? Assistance will be given for Universal Credit applications to anyone aged 55-plus who needs support to use a computer.

What access is there to computers? 14 computers are available for use, subject to demand.
Digital support is available for anyone claiming benefits.
PCs/tablets with internet access are available for use.
Free wi-fi is available for you to connect to your own devices.
What assistance/support is available to help me use the computer? Assistance is provided for PC/tablet use – for example, using social media, online job searching, uploading a CV. This is subject to staff availability. ‘Get Set’ service provides assistance with setting up/maintaining email account.
Digital Skills classes are provided free to clients who need help to use PCs/laptops/tablets – course dates and times will be confirmed by staff on enquiry.
What assistance/support is available to help me complete my Universal Credit application? Ayr JobCentre has a designated PC for new Universal Credit claims (however all PCs/tablets can be used for this purpose). Assistance is provided for completing the application.
When can I access the computers and available support? Mon-Fri 9am-5pm.

We also run drop-in sessions, which have dedicated times depending on whether you need support to use a computer or not.
What assistance/support is available to help me use the computer? There is a small team of staff on hand to offer support and guidance as and when required, subject to availability.
What assistance/support is available to help me complete my Universal Credit application? Sorry. There is no facility to assist with Universal Credit applications.
When can I access the computers and available support? Tues 10am-11.30am (‘self-service’ use of PCs/laptops)

Free wi-fi is available for customers within the café to connect to their own devices.
What assistance/support is available to help me use the computer? We offer basic IT classes for those aged 55-plus. The weekly two-hour class runs over 10 weeks and costs £55 per person. Topics covered include internet searches, setting up email and maintaining an email account.
What assistance/support is available to help me complete my Universal Credit application? Sorry. There is no facility to assist with Universal Credit applications.
