Proposed Prestwick Campus

A public exhibition of the exciting proposals for Prestwick’s new educational campus was held on Wednesday 23 October 2019 at Glenburn Primary School. The exhibition was part of the pre-application consultation process, giving people the opportunity to view and discuss the proposals prior to the submission of a planning application.

For anyone that couldn’t make the exhibition, a copy of the drawings is available below and any comments on the proposals can be made in writing or email to the agent, Building Design Partnership, at 15 Exchange Pl, Glasgow G1 3AN, email no later than Fri 04 November 2019. All comments should be directed to the agent, not South Ayrshire Council. Comments made to the agent are not representations to the planning authority and when the Council submit a formal planning application there will be an opportunity to make representation on that application to the planning authority.

The joint campus, will replace both the existing Glenburn Primary School and St Ninian’s Primary School buildings. The new campus will also incorporate the new standalone early year’s centre.

The two schools will retain their identity, staff and pupils while benefitting from the ability to share high quality internal and external facilities.

Once completed, the innovative campus will transform learning with outdoor classroom facilities, multi-use games halls, social areas for play and even garden areas for young people to grow plants and vegetables.

Subject to planning, work on the £19.3 million campus should start in July 2020 and be completed in December 2022.
