Eco-schools

Eco-schools is an international initiative, managed in Scotland by Keep Scotland Beautiful, that rewards the hard work schools are doing to improve their environment and to make the wider community aware of sustainability issues.

There are currently 64 schools registered with the Eco-schools programme in South Ayrshire.

• 27 schools hold Green Flag awards
• 55 schools hold Silver awards
• 50 schools hold Bronze awards
