The Scottish Government has set new fees for planning applications which will take effect from 1st June 2017. These changes primarily affect the fees that will be paid for larger scale developments. View the new schedule of fees.

The Heads of Planning Scotland has produced a guidance note on the national standards for the validation of planning and other related consents in Scotland. This is a best practice guide and is a useful resource for understanding the information that should accompany applications. This document is available to view at Heads of Planning Scotland.
Whilst you can still submit your planning application using a paper form, please be aware that it will take longer for your application to be received and validated. The paper forms can be found on the ePlanning Scotland website.
