Supporting communities - Rural Forum comes to Coylton

 11 November 2019  |

The next Rural Forum takes place in Coylton Primary School on Monday 18 November 7:00pm – 9:00pm.

The visit to Coylton is the fourth Rural Forum event, giving people living in and around the village the opportunity to speak about issues which matter to them.

Topics set to be discussed at the forum include:

  • Rural planning issues (in general) and links to the economy
  • Community Asset Transfer (CAT) possibilities & supporting communities
  • External funding & support options for groups in relation to CAT and in general
  • Connectivity in Rural Areas

The Rural Forum was set up by South Ayrshire Council to ensure all residents have their say no matter where they live.

There will be presentations on key issues and Councillors will be on hand to listen to the views of residents.

Mark Baker, Service Lead - Corporate Planning and Improvement for South Ayrshire Council said: "The forums are an ideal way to connect with people living across South Ayrshire.

"Not only are we gathering the views of people from outlying areas, the forums allow us to bring residents up to date on initiatives and outline help and support available to them."

A further two rural forums are scheduled to take place next year:

Monday 17 February 2020 – Craigie Village Hall (7pm)

Monday 20 April 2020 – Dailly Primary School (7pm)
