On track for lots of fun

There will be something for everyone at the Community Fun Day on Saturday 10 September at the Citadel Leisure Centre in Ayr.

Organised by South Ayrshire Council, the fun starts at 11:00am and is spread across a number of zones which feature pony rides, electric bikes and an amazing surf simulator.

For the budding footballers, Ayr United Football Academy will also be on hand with helpful techniques and tips.

Adults who want to escape the Nerf wars with flying foam darts can have a look at the vehicle display and for youngsters the fantastic superhero truck will attract all the would be crime fighters.

The info zone has an array of stalls to give helpful advice to anyone living and working in South Ayrshire. So if you want to save on energy bills, have a community safety issue or you are a Council tenant looking for advice, help is at hand.

The community fun day also includes a recruitment zone with more information on employability programmes and casual vacancies.

At 3:00pm you can take the plunge for the final event of the day at the swimming pool party with inflatables….so bring your swimming stuff!

Councillor Philip Saxton, Housing and Customer Services Portfolio Holder at South Ayrshire Council said: "This promises to be a great event for all the family. I am sure everyone will have fun but it is also a chance to talk to the experts and get more information on housing and other community issues."
