The public can tour the new technical block on Thurs 23 February between 3:30 and 7:00PM
People in Troon are being given the chance to have a special behind the scenes look at the new technical block at Marr College. An open event is being held on Thursday 23 February, to allow the community to see the newly opened extension first hand.
The first phase of work at Marr College was officially opened in January 2017 and staff and young people are now using the new building. The next phase of work at Marr College will be complete by the end of 2017 and represents a total investment in the extension and comprehensive upgrade of this school of around £37m.
Visitors will be shown round the completed areas of the school and will be offered refreshments afterwards. Anyone interested in going along is asked to visit the main entrance of the old building on Thursday 23 February between 3:30 and 7:00PM (the last tour starts at 6:30) where they will then be taken to the main hall. Staff will be on hand to explain more about the project and answer questions on how the facility will be used.
