Council launches new online account service

South Ayrshire Council are encouraging residents to register for their new online account service, 'My South Ayrshire'.

With a My South Ayrshire account, customers can create a unique online account with a single username and password to access a range of online South Ayrshire Council services.

Currently, you can log requests, make payments and check who your local Councillor is. The services you can request are primarily focused on Education at this time, however as the platform is further developed, more and more services will be offered in this way.

It also means you won't have to re-register with another local public sector service if you move to a new part of Scotland.

Registering for an account is easy, and sign-in is powered by the Scottish Government's 'mygovscot' service. This checks who you are, and allows you to use a single account to access a range of Scottish public services online.

Once you have registered, the new system will also automatically populate forms with your information, so there's no need to waste time filling in your details repeatedly.

If you are a parent or carer with a child or young person attending a South Ayrshire school, and have already registered for Online School Payments, you can log in to My South Ayrshire using these details.

Councillor Brian McGinley, South Ayrshire Council's Portfolio Holder for Resource and Performance said "We're committed to making South Ayrshire a better place to live, and by continually improving our digital services we are providing new ways for customers to find, access and use our services.

"The new My South Ayrshire service is a great way for residents to keep track of their requests with the Council in one place, and will really make a difference to their customer experience."

You can log in or register for a My South Ayrshire account here.
