20 community groups in Troon, Barassie, Muirhead, Dundonald, and Loans are celebrating after landing fresh funding to help support their work. Almost 280 people turned out to take part in the latest decision day on Saturday 9 February.

Significant ongoing changes to improve Fullarton Woods in Troon are helping to put the area on the map as a go-to destination. The progress over the last three years is down to a partnership between Friends of Fullarton, South Ayrshire Council and East Ayrshire Woodlands.

225 children and young people wowed a sold out Ayr Town Hall for the annual South Ayrshire Schools Orchestras concert. An audience of around 550 people were treated to an eclectic performance which ranged from Game of Thrones to The Barber of Seville.
Plans to create modern homes in Girvan for the local travelling community are now underway. Seven chalet style bungalows are being built, with the project due to be completed later this year.

Art lovers and tattoo aficionados are being promised a unique evening of entertainment in the splendour of a Georgian mansion. As part of the major 'British Tattoo Art Revealed' exhibition at Rozelle House in Ayr, an After Hours event is being held on Saturday, 23 February, which features fire eaters, magicians, sword swallowers, burlesque performers and DJs.
People in Ayr South and Coylton are being encouraged to show their support for local community groups looking to make a big impact on local life. The latest Ayr South decision day will be held on Saturday, 16 February at Kyle Academy.
In light of the Scottish Government budget, agreed on 31 January, new powers have been made available to Councils across Scotland, including the ability to raise Council Tax charges by up to 4.79%. To reflect this, a standalone section has been added to South Ayrshire Council's public engagement exercise (launched on 30 January 2019) which directly considers Council Tax.
