People in Ayr North and surrounding villages are being encouraged to show their support for local community groups by voting for their favourites.
The latest Ayr North and villages' decision day will be held on Saturday 16 March at Ayr Academy.
The Ayr North and villages' locality planning group event is part of a drive to get people actively involved in local decision making known as 'Participatory Budgeting'. Building on the success of recent community funding decision days, this latest event will see groups pitch ideas for community projects to local people who will then vote to award funding.
Up to £18,000 is available and groups can be funded up to £1000. Voting is open to everyone 10 years old and over who lives, works, volunteers or studies in Ayr North Harbour, Wallacetown, Newton South, Dalmilling, Craigie, Lochside, Braehead, Whitletts, and the villages of Annbank, Mossblown and Tarbolton.
The money is being made available from South Ayrshire Council, South Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership, and the Alcohol and Drug Partnership.
The 'Decision Day' event takes place at Ayr Academy on Saturday, 16 March between 10:00am-12:00 noon. For more information call Neil Goudie 01292 559421 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
