Following the recent change to Scottish Government guidance, South Ayrshire Council is delighted to announce that our golf courses will re-open, with some restrictions, from Friday 29 May following confirmation from the First Minister of the easing of lockdown on Thursday 28 May.

Employee volunteers who staff our dedicated Covid Helpline have made over 10,000 calls to local people who are shielding to offer support, including with access to food and essential medication deliveries. The team has also handled 3,491 incoming calls from residents looking for help.

Our Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) will re-open on Monday 1 June at 8.00am.
From Tuesday 19th May, our special/bulky uplift booking system has been reinstated, and uplifts will resume as of Monday 25th May.

We know that in the current climate, many of us are experiencing new challenges and disruption in our day to day lives. I'm extremely proud of the way that we in South Ayrshire are working together to help people through this crisis. Many people in our communities need us now, more than ever, and our employees have really risen to the challenge, many volunteering to do completely different jobs.
