South Ayrshire Council is keen to provide 58 new socially affordable houses in Lochside in Ayr, ones that tenants feel at home in and meet their needs.
To do this we need as many people in the community as possible to take part in a special open day in Lochside Community Centre on Tuesday 19 November 2013.
We are investing £9 million in developing Lochside as part of our commitment to enhancing and improving our socially affordable housing stock.
This project is empowering the local community to really influence the direction this takes, but we need you to tell us what you think so that we can take your views into account before we submit a formal planning application in January 2014.
The open day in Lochside Community Centre will take place from 1pm to 8pm on Tuesday 19 November 2013, there are no set times, just simply drop-in and find out more about our proposals for the area. Anyone who goes along can see the proposals, speak to the architect, make suggestions and ask questions.
Design layouts will be finalised over the coming weeks, taking in to consideration feedback received on the indicative layouts. After the period of consultation, a formal planning application will be submitted to the Council’s planners in January 2014.
