Please find below information on local walks which are currently active. All walks are free of charge and suitable for most abilities.

Ayr Active Travel Hub Lunchtime walk

Every Friday from the centre of Wellington Square. 1.15-1.45. Route is flat and fully accessible. Please dress for the weather. Please contact activetravelhubayr@gmail.com for more details.

Ayr Active Travel Hub

Every Thursday at 11am starting from the South Ayrshire Carers Centre, 43 Sandgate, Ayr KA7 1DA . We have a variety of routes, including wheelchair accessible ones, so come along and bring a friend. Please dress for the weather and wear shoes suitable for rough paths. Contact activetravelhubayr@gmail.com for more information.

Citadel Walking Group

Weekly on Mondays 10am – 11am. Come join us on these coastal, river and local town walks. Everyone welcome. We meet at 10am at the Citadel Leisure Centre reception, Ayr.

Belleisle Country Park Health Walk

This walk lasts 1 hour and is suitable for all. The walk may shorten depending on the weather.

Everyone welcome, just come suitably dressed for the conditions. We meet at the front of Belleisle House at 10.30am weekly on Tuesdays.

Prestwick Walking Group

Prestwick walking group meet at St Ninians church hall, Maryborough Road Prestwick KA9 1SD. Second and fourth Thursday of every month at 10am.

Troon Walking Group

Troon walking group meet outside Troon Town Hall Academy Street, Troon, Ayrshire, KA10 6AQ. First Tuesday of every month at 11am.

Mossblown Walking Group

Mossblown walking group meet at the Mossblown Community Centre every Tuesday at 12pm. The walks lasts roughly 1 hour with free tea and coffee afterwards.

Ailsa Hospital Greenspace Walking Group

Alisa Hospital walking group meet on the last Friday of every month and incorporate their walks with educational nature sessions. The walks are enjoyable and a great way to learn about the natural environment around the hospital.

Tarbolton Walking Group

The Tarbolton Walking for Health Group takes place every Tuesday at 10am outside the Community Centre in Tarbolton. Walks last roughly 1 hour.
